Refund Policy
This policy explains how to cancel a SignalMoth subscription, when a refund may be available, and how a refund affects paid access or Story Pack actions.
In short: canceling stops the next subscription renewal but does not by itself refund the current period. Paddle is the Merchant of Record and issues approved refunds. Mandatory consumer rights always remain available.
1. Scope and operator
This policy applies to paid SignalMoth orders made through Paddle for the editor at app.signalmoth.com. SignalMoth is the sole-proprietor brand under which the service is operated from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; it is not a separate legal entity or company. In this policy, “SignalMoth,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the sole proprietor operating under that brand.
This policy supplements the Terms of Service, Paddle's transaction terms, and any mandatory consumer law that applies to you. It does not restrict rights that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.
2. Paddle as Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all SignalMoth orders. Paddle handles checkout, payment, taxes, receipts, buyer payment support, and the issuing of approved transaction refunds. SignalMoth provides the product, entitlements, and product support.
The Paddle Buyer Terms and Paddle Refund Policy also apply to your transaction. If those terms or this policy conflict with mandatory law, the mandatory law controls.
3. Subscription cancellation
A recurring subscription automatically renews for the billing interval shown at checkout until you cancel it. You may cancel at any time through SignalMoth's billing portal, the manage link in a Paddle receipt, Paddle's customer portal, or Paddle.net.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. Paid access normally remains available until then, and Paddle will not charge the next renewal. Canceling does not by itself create a refund or credit for time remaining in the current period. A refund, reversal, account suspension, or mandatory law may require a different access result.
SignalMoth does not offer Story Packs for new purchase. If an account has a valid legacy Story Pack transaction or credited balance, that transaction was a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and does not renew automatically. This policy continues to govern any such transaction or balance.
4. Refund eligibility
Except where mandatory law provides a refund right, or a refund is approved under this policy, Paddle's policies, or the checkout terms, completed purchases are non-refundable. SignalMoth does not promise an additional trial, cooling-off period, or pro-rated refund beyond rights expressly shown at checkout or required by law.
Contact us promptly if a paid feature was not delivered, a duplicate or incorrect charge appears, or a material technical problem prevents reasonable use. SignalMoth may ask for information needed to verify the order and investigate the issue, may try to correct the entitlement or service problem, and may recommend or approve a refund when appropriate. Paddle issues any approved transaction refund to the original payment method where possible.
5. How to request a refund
You can request buyer payment support or a refund through Paddle.net, through the manage link in your Paddle receipt, or by emailing admin@signalmoth.com. Include the Paddle transaction or receipt identifier, the email used at checkout, the product, the purchase date, and a short explanation. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or full payment-card details.
SignalMoth may share the order and entitlement facts needed to investigate the request with Paddle. Processing time and the time for funds to appear depend on Paddle, the payment method, and the financial institution.
6. Effect of a refund or reversal
A full or partial subscription refund may end or adjust paid access and usage limits. An approved full Story Pack refund, credit, chargeback, or chargeback warning may remove unused purchased AI actions. A verified reversal may restore actions previously removed for that event. Completed AI actions are not recreated as unused actions, and files or outputs already exported are not rewritten.
These entitlement adjustments remain subject to mandatory law, the checkout terms, and any specific resolution confirmed by SignalMoth or Paddle.
7. Billing disputes and chargebacks
Please contact SignalMoth or Paddle promptly so an incorrect charge or entitlement can be investigated. This request does not limit any right you have to dispute a payment with your provider. A payment dispute, chargeback, or chargeback warning may cause the related entitlement to be suspended or adjusted while the transaction is reviewed.
8. Changes to this policy
SignalMoth may update this policy prospectively when products, checkout terms, providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be announced on the website or in the application when appropriate, and the last-updated date above will be revised.
